You can dispose of dildos and single-material products according to your municipality's guidelines. The following materials commonly used for sex toys cannot generally be thrown into recycling bins:

Silicone , like many catalyzing rubbers, is not currently regenerated through industrial processes suitable for reuse. It should then be thrown into the undifferentiated waste bin or taken to a municipal collection centre.

Borosilicate glass , also commonly known as "Pyrex", is a high-performance glass and melts at higher temperatures than classic packaging glass (jars, bottles and the like). No, generally the borosilicate glass dildo should not be thrown into the glass! It would mean polluting the recycling process. Ceramic materials , such as porcelain or quartz, must be disposed of in the inert materials bins, present in all municipal collection centres.

Wooden dildos are often treated with special paints or resins to ensure a safe and sturdy surface in contact with the body. We therefore advise against disposal in separate waste collection. The best way to throw away your wooden dildo is to take it to a municipal collection center . Alternatively it can be thrown into unsorted waste.

Metal sex toys can be thrown away in some municipalities in the appropriate recycling bins (depending on the metal alloy). If that's not possible, take your old sex toy to a recycling center. Be careful of fake metals! Sometimes some plastic products have a metallic effect paint finish. Always check the label for the correct material.

To date, used clothing can be placed in special bins made available by municipal waste management services, often in collaboration with associations and non-profit organisations . The bins vary in color depending on the municipality and region; they are generally yellow in color, but can also be other colors such as white and blue.

You can dispose of any type of textile product in the bins, whether it is made of natural or synthetic fibres. Underwear, broken or damaged clothes, rags and fabrics are also allowed in the dedicated bins, as long as they are clean and have been washed before disposal !

If there are no suitable collection centers in your municipality, consider donating your clothes in good condition to associations and/or non-profit organizations.

If it is really not possible to do otherwise, you can consider as a last resort the possibility of throwing broken or used clothes in the unsorted waste bin.
